Cincinnati Writers: Three separate support groups which all meet regularly

All our groups contain members with experience levels ranging from “I’ve never actually written anything before but I really want to give it a try” to “Actually, yes, I do this for a living. Thanks for asking.“

We tend to focus more on fiction, but some of us are non-fiction writers, too. Everybody is welcome – everybody’s work gets the same attention.

Wednesday Night Critique Group

Meetings are held each Wednesday evening in a predetermined location from 6:30 to 8:30.

Members submit their work via email by Midnight Friday. Up to 3 works are selected for critique and handed out on Saturday. Critiques are done at the meeting on Wednesday.

Thursday Night Fiction Critique Group

Meetings are held on each Thursday evening in a predetermined location.

Members submit a short story or a novel chapter via email, to be critiqued in person at the following Thursday meeting.

Poetry Workshop Group

Meetings are held on the first and third Saturday of each month from 10am to Noon via Zoom. Because we meet on-line, our members reside across the US and around the globe.

Poems for the workshop are emailed by the Thursday prior to any meeting. Submitted works are then distributed electronically giving members plenty of time to go over them prior to the Zoom call.
